  2. Please support DMARC on Mailgun and make it easy to deploy

-Please support DMARC on mailgun, and make it easy to deploy.
    - Generate useful TXT entries (just like you already do for SPF and DKIM)
    - Handle the DMARC reports
    - Present DMARC reports in your control panel after decoding the ZIPed XML files the providers send.
    - Convert DMARC failures (and successes?) into web hooks, events and log entries.

  3. Invite new users/roles to specific domain(s)

Recently you introduced invitation of new users and assigning them roles.
In addition to "roles" i would like to see that these invitations/roles can also be limited to specific domains.

  4. Multiple API Keys

Option to have multiple API keys, for example: client 1 has the API key exposed, we now have to roll this key, and update all clients using it.

Whereas, if we had multiple keys, we'd only need to roll and update that one client using the key.

  5. Manage multiple accounts with the same email

There is a way to create multiple logins for the same Mailgun account but we can't reuse an existing account. The error message is:

Error: Unable to invite user. User already exists

We need a way to manage multiple accounts under the same email, not having this is a total nightmare :\ We have this in Stripe, Twilio, SendGrid, Mailchimp, etc ...

There is no way I will ask my clients to forward me the "passcode" everytime I need to login on my client's account.

    Hey y’all,

I hear you on the frustrations here. Unfortunately just about everything account related is tied back to user who created the account and their email address, which is currently a unique mapping across Mailgun, so it’ll take a bit of work to allow this functionality.

Until we’re able get this implemented, the workaround I use is plus addressing. For example, cfarmer+account1@mailgun.com and cfarmer+account2@mailgun.com allows me to essentially create multiple accounts using the same email (activation and notification emails will be delivered to cfarmer@mailgun.com). The majority of the major Mailbox Providers (Gmail and MSFT included) support this.

  6. Support Non-credit card payment types

Allow customers to pay via alternative payment types other than credit card.

  7. Provide option to send Non-Delivery Reports to the original Sender

Mailgun bounce processing works great when a single sender is sending email to a broad audience. It does not work well when there are many original senders each with their own list of contacts.

    Scenario:
    - Company with 10 to 1000 employees.
    - Company switches from a traditional in-house mail solution to Mailgun for all outgoing email.
    - John, a typical employee in the organization, sends email to a customer, but spells the address wrong.

    Traditional in-house system behaviour:
    - John would get a Non-Delivery Report letting him know of his mistake. John would fix his mistake, and re-send the…

  8. Per-link analytics for click tracking

Being able to track opens and clicks and consume that data via the Analytics dashboard is awesome. However, most emails that we send out contain multiple links - e.g. for account activation, homepage, featured blog post, social links, etc.

I would like to be able to have analytics on a per-link basis. Mailchimp allows this, see https://i.imgur.com/2iIocrv.png.

  9. Share templates between domains

I would like to ask, whether it is possible (or at least you plan it in the future) to share mailgun templates between domains?
We would love to have 2 separate domains for production and testing purposes, but share templates, se we do not have to duplicate them and keep different ids depending on environment from which we are sending.

  10. Enhance DMARC By Adding the Authenticated Received Chain (ARC) Protocol

Mailgun should enhance their mail engine MTA to use the Authenticated Received Chain (ARC) protocol with all inbound and forwarded messages that go through Mailgun.

There are 2 situations where this will help. When evaluating inbound emails and the DMARC policy of the sending domain is checked and fails or when Mailgun receives an email sent to a mailing list that, in turn, sends the message to all mailing list members.

For both these scenarios, if a DMARC check is done and the original sending party has a policy of quarantine or reject, it is possible for these valid emails…

  11. Add option to move tracking pixel to beginning of email

Our platform allows users to generate emails and send them. Some of them are quite long, and end up being truncated by email clients like Gmail. This results in open events not being tracked for many of the emails, since the tracking pixel is at the bottom and the email was truncated. It would be great to be able to optionally move the tracking pixel to the beginning of the email.

  12. U2F 2 Factor Auth (Yubikey)

Implement U2F/Yubikey support for 2 factor auth.

This will enable people who can't use their phones in the office, but can use hardware tokens, to take advantage of the 2 factor auth you just implemented.

  14. Option to Duplicate Template in MG Drag and Drop Template Builder

Currently our DnD template builder has a duplicate option, but this only applies to the template version. Some users would prefer the option to make a duplicate which is a completely new template, and not just a new version within the same template

  15. Provide a way for users to resubscribe

The %unsubscribe_url% tag can be used to create a link to the Mailgun unsubscribe page, but once a user has unsubscribed they can't resubscribe themselves later. They might have unsubscribed in error, or changed their mind, but there's no way for them to opt back in themselves.

Ideally you'd have a "Manage my subscription" page that could be linked to via a tag like the %unsubscribe_url% tag, where a user can either unsubscribe or resubscribe themselves.

  17. Provide meaningful delivery status description rather than "Too old"

Provide meaningful delivery status description rather than "Too old"

I'm monitoring webhooks for "permanent" failures and forwarding the "delivery-status" message/description (why are those not unified into a single field??) to my end users. Instead of merely reporting "Too old", please insert the error message from the previous "temporary" failure, so that it becomes clear what the real issue is.

  18. Implement email notifications about selected issues

There are some delivery issues which usually warrant manual inspection and care by the administrative users. I feel that continuing to send emails to addresses that have ended up in the Bounces list would at least be one of them.

It would be convenient if the user could select certain common delivery issues like this and get a notification about them emailed to a specified email address. This email address could then be a mailing list for administrative personel who could look in to the error and see it they should act upon it.

It is possible to implement this…

  19. ip whitelisting for smtp sending

the vast majority of our sending is sent by one IP, the ability to whitelist use of the API and SMTP sending to that IP would make sending much more secure.

Also a fail2ban style policy such that should someone get an API key or SMTP credential wrong 5 times in succession that they should not be able to try again for x minutes and then increasing.

  20. Search suppressions list by email domain

PLEASE allow us to search the suppressions list by email domain, not just specific email. Our use of the product means that we often have multiple users from a single domain that we send email to. If something goes wrong with their email server, and they end up suppressed, removing them is a real pain. The customer has to provide us with every possible email that was suppressed, and we have to search them all one by one. I REALLY wish I could just search by domain instead.
