  1. Provide option to disable logging of attachments

    Some customers are OK emailing sensitive data in email attachments provided there are guarantees that the attachments are not logged or persisted. Currently, email attachments are available in the support logs for 3 days. A good option for a domain would be to disable logging of attachments.

  2. Support wildcard suppression of email addresses

    Hello,

    I need to suppress emails that are sent to my automation users.

    qa_automation+df1qb6fn293okcevaucv@zzz.com

    Basically, anything that is sent to qa_automation+xxxxx@zzz.com, I would like to suppress. Please consider this as an enhancement.

    Thanks

  3. Envelope recipient support not determined by TO: header fields in API (SMTP Parity)

    In SMTP you can set envelope recipients that are not listed in the To: header fields (think BCCs here).

    We have a need for this to send unique emails to individuals, while having the To: header in their email client appear as if it was to a group that this user is a part of.

    Currently, this is not possible via the Mailgun API, but only via SMTP. Since Mailgun recommends using the API, I would love to see this feature included so we can make the leap over to the API instead of using SMTP for these particular emails.

  4. Stats for multiple domains

    We run a lot of domains (for inbound forwarding) and want to gather daily stats. The only way to do this is to make multiple API calls , 900+ each time. Can we get stats for multiple/all domains at once?

  5. Allow rotation of DKIM keys

    I would like the ability to rotate the DKIM key used by mailgun for my domain on a periodic basis. The only option I was given by mailgun support is to delete my domain and start over. Rotating the key is important to mitigate the effects when keys are compromised.

  7. Also catched delayed bounces when MX records are not set to mailgun

    Currently delayed bounces are not captured by mailgun when the MX records of your domain are not configured to mailgun (see warning at https://documentation.mailgun.com/user_manual.html#tracking-bounces ).

    This will result in incomplete bounce tracking and possible loss of important information

    A typical example would be a company who maintains its own domain but who wants tracking for some specific accounting mails which needs to be send from a specific email address within their own domain , i.e. transactional emails only.

    This can be solved by sending out the emails using an envelope sender within the mailgun domain while still using the custom…

  8. Add an API for validating email addressess

    Add an API call for validating email addresses (i.e. checking whether the domain is valid, the username exists, the mailbox is not full, etc..) similar to kickbox.io and make it affordable/free to use :)

  10. Enable Gmail Quick Actions!

    it should be easy to support "One-Click Actions" and "Go-to actions" and would be a really nice feature imo.

  11. Send Request Signature as an HTTP Header

    Please consider providing the timestamp, token and signature as http headers. Some frameworks such has JAX-RS provide the ability to validate an incoming request via interceptors. This is difficult to do with form data as it is processed later in the request.

    Ideally this would be done similar to Twilio https://www.twilio.com/docs/security

    Maybe an

    X-Mailgun-Timestamp
    X-Mailgun-Token
    X-Mailgun-Signature

    Based on this we could verify the request before actually decoding the form data.

  12. POST an Email using a Serial to Ethernet Server

    Most Serial to Ethernet server devices use a POST method similar to the following:

    Serial.println ("POST: http://domain.com HTTP/1.0");
    Serial.println ("Host: domainhost");
    Serial.println(Content-Length: xx");
    Serial.println("");
    Serial.println(Content);

    I have used this method to post data to data logging web sites and would like to use the same method for emailing. Thanks.

  13. accept a body-calendar parameter with an ical string when sending mail

    When parsing meeting requests with mailgun, the ical part comes back as a body-calendar property on the JSON. It would be nice to have mailgun accept the same parameter to construct a message containing a meeting invite

  14. If an unauthorized sender sends to a mailing list, send that person a bounce email, rather than silently discarding it

    You do this when the access level for a mailing list is set to "read-only" but you do not do this if it is set to "members". You should always send the bounce / non-delivery notification if the sender was not allowed to send to the list.

  15. provide the option to notify an email address when certain mailgun actions have occurred (bounces, suppressions etc)

    Would be great if this could be simple but configurable - or if we could opt to have summary reports at the end of a day/week/month of bounces, suppressions etc. Thanks

  16. Suppressions listed in logs

    It would be better to mark re-try of delivering Suppressed messages as Warning rather then Error.
    this event already cased Error event and was "resolved" by adding email address to Suppression list, 2nd time it should be just a Warning in my opinion.

  17. Allow a setting to add unsubscribe links depending on the type of email (direct / mailing list)

    Currently there is no way to configure your domain to conditionally add an unsubscribe link based on the type of email sent. If I choose to automatically add the mailing list unsubscribe link then it gets added to **ALL** emails from the domain name, even the ones which have nothing to do with my mailing list (e.g. verification emails, password reset, newsletters etc.). Except, in such emails instead of the link i get "%mailing_list_unsubscribe_url%" rather than the actual link.

    It would be great if you could configure custom unsubscribe templates for different email addresses. E.g. maillist@mydomain.com would have a mailing…

  18. Disablement process needs to be improved

    The account disable process as currently defined is somewhat user-hostile. There are a couple small items that would make the actual experience less disruptive and easier for everyone to resolve. First and foremost, disabling the logs page on the impacted domain seems to be counter productive. I was hoping to be able to investigate for malicious behavior via those logs. Disabling the page means that I had to waste the time of the support staff to help root cause the problem (thanks again Raquel!). Secondly, the quick-pass onboarding process doesn't call out that inbound messages can impact the operation of…
