  2. Make the new UI mobile responsive

The new design looks nice but not mobile friendly. I had difficulty navigating around while on my iPhone XS.

The reason I had to use mobile was to check the logs to see if an email was sent out or not.

  3. Make suppression columns sortable

It would be extremely useful to be able to sort unsubscribes and complains by date in Dashboard -> Suppressions, rather than by recipient. Even better, make all three columns (recipient, timestamp, tags) sortable. Preferably also allow the user to choose a default sorting.

  4. Provide a WYSIWYG template Editor

Please make a better WYWIWYG email editor. Have a look at your competitors, like SendInBlue. There system is excellent. See attached image of their email editor. By comparison editing templates in MailGun is like living in a dark cave with no electricity.

  5. returns Stats for all Tags instead of just specific Tag

For Stats regarding specific Tags, need to use the /<domain>/tag/<tag_name>/stats endpoint.
    Reference: https://documentation.mailgun.com/en/latest/api-tags.html#tags

Will it be possible to request for an endpoint that returns Stats for all Tags instead of just specific Tag please?

  6. Main Account with Subaccount Access

A true main account through Mailgun that has sub-accounts accessible from it, without multiple logins.

  7. Auto-detection feature for affected IP-addresses

A problem with sending email with Mailgun is: many Mailgun users are using the same IP-address. When another user is sending spam, all emails from that IP-address to Hotmail/Live addresses are blocked, until Mailgun has assegned a new IP-address after a couple of hours (when I create a ticket).

My idea: an automatic affected IP-address detection. When Microsoft returns an error "bad IP reputation", then automatically assign a new IP address and resend the failed emails.

  8. ip whitelisting for smtp sending

the vast majority of our sending is sent by one IP, the ability to whitelist use of the API and SMTP sending to that IP would make sending much more secure.

Also a fail2ban style policy such that should someone get an API key or SMTP credential wrong 5 times in succession that they should not be able to try again for x minutes and then increasing.

  9. Do not silently drop nameless attachments over HTTP API

We're currently switching our email sending from SMTP to the HTTP API and noticed that some attachments were being silently dropped.
The main problem seems to be twofold:
    1) the HTTP API requires non-ASCII filenames to be encoded using the "newish" RFC 7578 and simply ignores filenames encoded using the older RFC 2231.
    2) attachments sent without filenames (or whose filenames were ignored because of #1) are simply dropped without warning, causing broken content to be sent.

Some more technical info can be found in this github issue: https://github.com/anymail/django-anymail/issues/125 (including examples of how to replicate)

    Ideally, we'd expect mailgun to…

  10. implement SRS for forward()

in your routing, I wonder if you might be able to implement SRS on the forward() function? Perhaps forward("someone@example.com", "SRS") or some such? (Forwarded mails fail SPF at the destination without SRS).

  11. fully support non-ascii characters when attaching filenames

Currently mailgun API does not officially support non-ascii characters in filename attachments. There are workarounds but it would be nice if it was supported natively.

  12. Add # of Pages to API Events

The "paging" array in the events API should show the total number of results and the number of pages so you can iterate through multiple pages easily, knowing exactly where you are in the pagination. The current version of the API shows no count so you have to paginate through the results blindly. Not ideal and impossible to mitigate performance issues when handling many pages of results.

  13. Limit monthly email quantities per SMTP Credential, per domain

I would like you to add a limit on the amount of messages that can be processed per month, for individual "SMTP Credential", for a given domain.

    E.g. a domain "mydomain.com" has 3 SMTP Credentials: admin@mydomain.com, secretary@mydomain.com, and guest@mydomain.com

I would like to be able to specify how many monthly emails a specific SMTP Credential can send: admin@mydomain.com = unlimited, secretary@mydomain.com = 10,000, guest@mydomain.com = 1,000 emails per month.

    Please add this feature.
    Thanks

  14. Log clicks on a per link/URL basis

Log clicks so that it is viewable / searchable in the stats. An email might have different URLs and it would be useful to see what URL the user clicks on.

  15. Randomize timing of bounce retries to reduce multiple bounces.

If I attempt to send 100 emails to users at a single host and am rate-limited by the recipient's e-mail host, the mailgun system attempts to resend those e-mails after 10 minutes. The result is that the same 100 emails all retry at the exact same time and nearly all of them bounce again. Subsequent retries with longer delays will continue to bounce as they all attempt at once.

If retries were randomized between 5-15 minutes, deliverability in this scenario would be substantially improved with minor development effort.

  16. Support wildcard suppression of email addresses

    Hello,

I need to suppress emails that are sent to my automation users.

    qa_automation+df1qb6fn293okcevaucv@zzz.com

Basically, anything that is sent to qa_automation+xxxxx@zzz.com, I would like to suppress. Please consider this as an enhancement.

    Thanks

  17. Allow rotation of DKIM keys

I would like the ability to rotate the DKIM key used by mailgun for my domain on a periodic basis. The only option I was given by mailgun support is to delete my domain and start over. Rotating the key is important to mitigate the effects when keys are compromised.

  18. Expose Sending IP Address(es) assigned to domain in API (and website interface)

Currently there is no convenient way to get a list for each of your domains what sending IP address(es) are assigned to them, the only way is using the website drill down into each individual domain's details.

Exposing the IP Address(es) of each domain in the /domains API endpoint seems like a good solution.

Additionally being able in the website to enter a sending IP address on the domains listing page and it would show all the domains with that sending IP address assigned.

  19. Monitor delivery rates by recipient domain (ESP)

While some of the existing charts/reports on the dashboard are useful, I would really like to know about delivery rates / failures by the domain we are sending to (or ideally ESP... i.e. hotmail/msn centurytel/centurylink/embarmail).

I usually end up hearing about a block or other delivery issue from our users. Short of pulling data over the API and parsing it myself I know of no way to accomplish monitoring this currently.

  20. Notify account holder when reaching max routes limit

The maximum limit for routes is 5,000. Currently Mailgun does not notify you when you're close to the limit. This is especially risky if you create lots of routes programmatically via the Routes API.
