explaining automated IP warmup
You have a page about automated IP warm up already, but it's as clear as mud. https://mailgun.com/blog/product/ip-warm-up/
For some reason it repeats the first 2 paras; it then goes on about how hard it is; it then says it can automate it somehow and gives a confusing table of stages with hourly/daily limits.
The explanations are limited and seem to assume that you have full control over sending rates. The only people I know who have that sort of control are spammers! The rest of us are either: sending transactional stuff like receipts and much as we'd like we can't control the rate of sales with a dial; or sending to lists, where a list has a slow-changing number of subscribers and mailings may be on a schedule, e.g. weekly.
The existing page does not explain the algorithm for what gets sent when, and how stages are progressed through, and I spent an hour in the chat with mailgun staff who weren't able to explain it either.
It sounds like a useful feature, but it needs to be understandable.
