  1. Display unique opens for all tags

    "Engagement -> All Tags" displays 0 unique opens. This seems broken. It should display the unique opens.

    If I send 10 emails over 10 days to 5 of the same people, and 5 different people each day. That's 100 emails, to 55 people. The unique people doesn't matter. The multiple views per user doesn't matter. Of the 100 emails sent out. Unique opens should show how many of those 100 emails sent out, were opened.

    This seems like a fundamental principle of sending emails, and the zero column for all tags seems like a bug, not really a feature request.

      • Validate certs for email providers / hosters with a different domain to email recipient

        We are trying to send emails to an account that is provided by an email hoster.

        Lets say the recipient email address is: user@company.com
        And the email provider mailserver is mailserver.provider.com

        What we see is that DNS MX lookup of company.com resolves to company.com.mailserver.provider.com

        And the mailserver.provider.com exposes a certificate with CN=*.provider.com.

        This means that mailgun fails to do cert validation as it is looking for domain company.com in the cert presented by the provider, but that cert contains *.provider.com.

        Now, we know how to use the APIs to make cert validation optional, but does mailgun have any proposed solution…

        • edit suppresions

          Currently you can not edit suppression records on the UI, you can either add or delete them. An edit feature would be great.

          Also, when you click add recipient button it should automatically select the right element from the List Type dropdown depending on the sub-page you are on (bounce, complaint, unsubscribe)

          • Order by columns

            There is no option to order by a specific column on pages such as Mailing Lists, Campaigns and Suppressions... Currently, there is a default order, which does not work well for different needs. For example, I want to check the latest email list created, however I'm not able to order Mailing Lists by date created. It only comes in alphabetical order. This situation makes it quite difficult to maintain/analyze.

            • IP management on retry and sending

              Would be great if I can decide which IP using for retry (or sending) an email.

              I.e. when I receive this feedback:
              - The sending IP (123.123.123.123) is
              listed on https://spamrl.com/ (https://spamrl.com/). Please resolve this
              and retry.

              or this one:
              - Service unavailable; Client host [123.123.123.123] blocked
              using truncate.gbudb.net (http://truncate.gbudb.net/);

              I would like to retry sending the email using another IP on my MailGun account (right now I've 3 different IPs).

              Would be even better id I can we choose the ip of mine to send an email so I will retry choosing wich IPs is…

              • Calculate and provide data on the duration an email is "open" for Read/Skim/Delete engagement analysis

                Devise a way to estimate the time an email is "open" for use in engagement analysis. Might be related to monitoring how long a connection is kept open for an image being served using a script?

                    • Delivery speed control (Pauses & blocks, EMS)

                      It would be good to be able to setup pauses between messages (seconds), pauses between blocks (seconds) and message per block to help avoid throttling. It would also be good to be able to automatically control the number of messages sent to an EMS in a similar way to help control throttling

                          • Change retry intervals/times for inbound email http callbacks

                            The default is (according to documentation): 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hours. It would be nice to have also longer periods (8 hours, 16 hours, etc., up to 2-3 days, in case something goes wrong e.g. during a weekend).

                            • API: Add ability to list routes for a specific domain

                              I would like to get a list of existing routes for a specific domain using the API.

                              Currently, the API only supports listing routes for the entire account (without the ability to filter these routes).

                              Initially even something crude would suffice, like being able to filter routes based on a filter or action regular expression (or even more simple than regular expressions, like "*" support), e.g.:

                              https://api.mailgun.net/v3/routes?filter=match_recipient("*@mydomain.com")

                              This would be beneficial to ensure my clients' email forwards are in sync with what is stored in my own app, or even negate the need to store current route configuration for a…

                                There is no way in control panel to see schedule events. Very basic feature is missing. I don't think that it requires a lot of effort to provide the same.

                                    • Filter stats by domain; show problematic domains and/or common failure patterns

                                      Every once in a while, we discover that our emails are getting rejected by entire domains. E.g. AOL a couple of weeks ago (which we opened a ticket about), alum.mit.edu, and regularly many Google Apps domains with a note on "policy":

                                      The problem is, we discover these issues ad-hoc, usually based on customer reports to our support team. (E.g. "I'm not receiving any password…

                                      • MX wildcard setting for domains should work for Mailing Lists as well as Routes

                                        The actual domain and then the mailing list alias has to be added before Mailgun will handle emails sent to that address. Rather, it would be best if just the root domain could be added, MX wildcard enabled, and any Mailing List added to the Root Domain applies to subsequent domains as well.

                                        • Add the ability to sort Support Tickets by Date Created or Subject.

                                          We've been using Mailgun for quite a while and have accumulated many support tickets over time. A lot of these support tickets have become reference materials at this point. At this point, it would be very helpful to have the ability to sort the support tickets by date created or subject.
